These prayers are a suggested guideline and reminder of what law enforcement officers do to serve our communities every day.
- Pray for their safety, courage, and discernment. Police help protect our communities and ensure that the law is followed. For help for them to be humble, self-controlled & honest, treating all persons with respect. They put themselves at risk every day. Attacks on persons in public places have drawn attention to such risks.
- Pray for the police, and their families and that the police adhere to the law and resist corruption.
- The justice system works well when righteous law is upheld. Personal agendas should not be a part of the justice system. Pray that righteous justice and integrity are the benchmark of the justice system. Pray for wisdom and protection for all. Pray against a spirit of fear taking hold. 2 Timothy 1:7.
- Pray for the law makers, judges and magistrates – righteousness exalts a nation Proverbs 14:34.
- Please pray for a spirit of repentance for all the ungodly laws that have been enacted.

Praying for those Working in the Areas of Health & Sciences
The primary meaning of science, as given in Webster, is: “Knowledge of principles and causes: ascertained truths or facts.” Galileo Galilei is quoted as saying:
“The glory and greatness of Almighty God are marvellously discerned in all his works and divinely read in the open book of heaven. For let no one believe that reading the lofty concepts written in that book leads to nothing further than the mere seeing of the splendour of the sun and the stars and their rising and setting, which is as far as the eyes of brutes and of the vulgar can penetrate”
By generating new knowledge and research, science helps to provide solutions to national and global health and other challenges, which rely on the integrity of the science on which it relies.
Like any other gift that God has given, science can be used to accomplish good or evil. Please pray that science is used to care for God’s creation and the world and leads many to acknowledge God’s role in creation, His existence, and that God created the natural family to
Charity workers who work directly with clients experiencing issues such as trauma or severe mental health challenges, are at particular risk, as they hear their stories and work to ensure that both they and clients are safe. Please pray that their spouse and family would work to ensure that the home is a calm, safe environment capable of washing away stress and that those employed in these sectors would, most importantly, have the ability to manage their emotions and relations with others. Prov 3:5
- Pray for family relationships – that there is a healthy give-and-take when dealing with family concerns if they work far away. That none would yield to temptation, and all would walk in integrity. 1 Cor 10:13, Prov 10:9
- Pray that those in authority in this domain would be faithful to their spouse, guide their children wisely and administer their own houses well. Pray for wisdom for them to comply with the various Government requirements and for Governments to exercise wisdom when making them. 1 Tim 3.
- Pray to God that all involved – donors, staff, beneficiaries of the services
