The Sphere of Arts has the potential to touch lives in a powerful way and can be, and often is, used to communicate the gospel message. Drama, dance, story, jewellery, pottery, embroidery, music and visual image can be expressions both of the reality of our brokenness, and of the hope that is centred in the gospel that all things will be made new. In the world of mission, the arts are often an untapped resource. It is an important means for believers to engage with society, whether through the performing arts, visual arts or other creative arts.
- Thank God for the many singers and musicians who have used their God given gifts to encourage people and for those who have made their music resources freely available. Pray that all in this sphere would humbly model purity and chastity and not yield to any temptations that may come their way, using their gifts to glorify God. (1 Cor 10:13). Covenant Marriage of a man and woman before God is a significant step for any couple to take. Despite the erosion, the devaluation of marriage that has occurred throughout most of the world it is still the aspiration of many to get married. In Australia in fact, according to the ABS the total number of marriages for 2024 was 120,844 and 96.1% were according to God’s design of marriage. Amongst everything we have an increase of those predicting “the end is near” including “prophesies” from some others. However, as Jesus said “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is” Mark 13:32-33 [NKJV] and also (Matt. 24:36–44; Luke 21:34–36)
We, in the church, need to take care that those around us who know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour look to and are guided by the truths of the Holy
